Sahith Theegala, +800?

Let me preface this by saying, I wasn't ready for the PGA Tour to start the Farmers Insurance Open on a Wednesday this week. I do remember this happening last year, because of Sunday football. It's a good idea. 

After realizing that play started today (Wednesday) I took a look at some odds over on DraftKings. This isn't an endorsement, but it's where I do the semi-minimal amount of sports betting that I do. 

Low and behold, I found something that caught my eye. Sahith Theegala, after the first round is tied for 90th. Not in good shape after a round of even par on the North Course at Torrey Pines. But, only 2 shots out of a tie for 48th. and 4 shots out of the top 20. 

So here is my bet. Sahith Theegala to finish top 20 this week, +800. Now, a lot needs to happen, obviously. First, we need to start by making the cut tomorrow on the South Course. The tougher of the 2 courses that are played. Somehow I think Sahith will play better there. He seems like a guy that needs a challenge, something to focus on. I think the South Course will suit him better. 

This could go south in a hurry with a missed cut, but I was happy to put a small wager on this at +800. A decent round tomorrow and we still have two rounds to get in the top 20, pretty easy for a player of Theegala's caliber.
